An entrepreneur in the IT and services sector since 1999, Paulo Vasconcelos Freitas was one of the founders of the computer store Informania in Funchal. The company operated for 12 years, earning the trust of thousands of customers in Madeira Islands.
Since 2011, established as PVF Tech Atelier, with the goal of providing customers with a premium, specialised and dedicated technical service for Apple devices. With over 25 years of experience and Apple Independent Repair Provider certification, we ensure quality, professionalism and trust in every repair.
PVF Horta
PVF has been present in Horta since September 2022, with a space that reflects the essence of the brand: proximity, innovation and personalised service. More than a traditional store, this is a pop-up office concept, designed to operate primarily by appointment, allowing for dedicated support and tailor-made solutions for each customer.
This model reflects the way we work: less counter, more conversation; less rush, more attention. A space where technology is explained, adapted and humanised. Our service operates by appointment, as we do not yet offer permanent walk-in service — something we consider implementing in the future.
In 2025, we strengthened our connection to Faial and its community through our presence at the exhibitors’ area of Semana do Mar, one of Horta’s most emblematic events. This participation symbolises not only our activity, but also our commitment to the region, to innovation and to the sharing of knowledge.
Repair Service Terms and Conditions
PVF – Tech & Repair Services, with its registered address at Rua Conselheiro Terra Pinheiro, no. 22 | 9900-037 Horta, Faial – Azores, hereinafter referred to as PVF.
- Depending on the nature of each intervention, PVF may choose the method of resolution it deems most appropriate, provided it undertakes to apply all necessary means to resolve the customer’s issue.
- PVF’s intervention involves a risk of data loss and/or partial or total loss of the equipment during the repair process. PVF shall not be held responsible for such loss, except in cases of proven technical negligence.
- PVF undertakes to provide the necessary means rather than guaranteeing results and therefore excludes any liability for the possible non-resolution of issues due to reasons beyond the scope of its services.
- In hardware and/or electronic-level interventions, PVF does not guarantee full or partial recovery of the equipment submitted, particularly in cases of severe damage (such as drops, liquid damage, accidents, etc.)
- Repair cancellations will be accepted in cases where no parts need to be ordered; otherwise, the customer shall be responsible for paying any costs incurred up to that point.
- The intervention will always be carried out based on the reported faults. Any additional issues identified will be communicated to the customer, and their repair will be subject to a separate estimate.
- PVF reserves the right to refuse to provide services in cases of abusive use or any form of illegitimacy.
- Damaged and replaced parts will only be returned upon the customer’s request.
- The screen sealing applied to iPhone 7 models and later complies with IP67 and IP68 standards, providing protection against direct contact with liquids and dust; however, we do not guarantee that the devices are fully waterproof.
- The customer declares themselves solely responsible for the legality, content, use, origin and legitimacy of the information stored on their equipment and is entirely responsible for safeguarding such information prior to any intervention by PVF.
- Access to accounts, emails, systems, cards, personal data and any other data stored on the equipment that may be subject to copying shall only be accessed, copied or processed in the presence of the customer.
- Equipment collection period:
The equipment must be collected within a maximum period of 45 days from the date of delivery. After this period, and in the absence of any contact or instructions from the customer, the equipment will be considered abandoned. Six months after that date, the company reserves the right to recycle, destroy or dispose of the equipment, which may no longer be claimed thereafter.
Privacy Policy (GDPR)
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679), PVF Tech Atelier is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. The personal data collected may be used for the provision of services, as well as for sending information about products, promotional campaigns or festive communications. The customer may, at any time, opt out of these communications by making a direct request or by using the link available in our messages. Personal data is not shared with third parties without explicit consent, except where legally required.
